It was music that got me into this industry, and I am a bit of an evangelist, trying to get people to listen to all sorts of music. As a classical enthusiast (after the pop of my teenage years wore a bit thin) I explored lots of forms of so-called "serious" music and found it very rewarding. In fact its often not at all serious!

We have got used to the fact that music can be stored on computer hard drives, even flash memory devices. To a degree, convenience has trumped quality. The replay quality of portable players is not "high end", but that does not mean that you cannot achieve high end performance from a digital system playing back uncompressed recordings from a hard drive.

It was my love for music (some called it obsession) which got me into this industry many years ago. The styles which have seeped into my consciousness over decades included Popular, Broadway Musicals, Classical and Early Music, then Electronic and Jazz in more recent years.
